What's New in Version 7?
In talking with our customers we learned that their main challenges are:

We quickly realized that « User adoption » will address most of our customers’ challenges. How do you increase user adoption? There has been a shift in the work habits of new talent, The new generation focuses more on social networks and less on email; the web has become the platform of choice to share and distribute content. Even if we all feel very young, there is a new Generation of talent working in a very different way. There is no reason why using a PPM system should not be as easy as using email or Linkedin. To dramatically improve user adoption we decided to implement three major enhancements:
- New look & feel
- New customizable views
- New social collaboration platform - Genius Live!
We refreshed the look & feel, to be more user friendly, more effective and more up to date. We have collaborated with usability experts to define the new GUI. We have implemented new views to provide more flexibility. We have invented a new way to interact with your PPM tool. A new way matching today’s users’ expectations. Genius Project version 7 is certainly the most important version of the past 5 years, it is a shift! A major milestone in Genius Inside’s history.

Extended Project Wizard
The look and feel of the New Project Creation wizard has been revised and its functionality extended to allow users to define all project parameters directly within the wizard screens. It includes project categorization and critical success factors.
Improved User Interface and Usability
Genius Project has a sleek new look &feel. The user interface has been enhanced to better incorporate new features and functions as well as simplify user navigation and access to all modules. Forms have been completely redesigned to ensure simpler more efficient use and filters and views have been enriched to maximize reporting capabilities.
Extended Resource Management
Resource management and capacity planning are already key strengths of Genius Project’s however the ability to address customer requests has been revised substantially. The major changes are:
- Resource workload tracking including project breakdown
- New resource workload calculation with backlog
New Configurable Views
Genius Project V7 introduces a powerful new feature: configurable views. Users can now rearrange views so that data is displayed the way they would like. They can also save various formats for the same view and use them whenever needed.
- select which columns to be displayed or hidden
- use drag & drop to reorganize column order
- sort views by one or multiple columns
- filter views by one or multiple columns values
- group by one or multiple column values
All of these actions can also be combined.
