Genius Project4Domino Is so Easy To Use and Tracks not only Projects but also Orders
THE LBBW
The Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) is a full service, international commercial bank with complete commercial and institutional autonomy. It is active in wholesale banking as well as retail, and is the main savings bank of Baden-Württemberg. It operates in the district of Stuttgart as a savings bank.
The LBBW was born in 1999 as a result of the partnership between the Südwestdeutschen Landesbank Girozentrale bank (founded in 1916), the national postal check and public savings bank (founded in 1818), as well as the Landeskreditbank of Baden-Württemberg (founded in 1924).
THE CHALLENGE
As part of the merger of the information technology department, the new bank set an objective to test the software of the 3 preceding institutions to see if they corresponded to the new strategic alliance. The new bank had no project management solution, despite the fact that in the past there had been some introductory evaluations of solutions such as MS-Project, Tasktimer and Excel.
The objective was to find a product that could fulfill all of the company’s Project Management needs, with a widespread, decentralized set-up.
THE SOLUTION
Since the bank had chosen the Lotus Notes application as their Groupware and communication platform, they naturally looked for a solution based on this platform as well. Another strategic requirement was that the product be able to eventually support use via an internet browser. With these requirements in mind, they chose Genius Project4Domino from the range of available products.
A SUCCESSFUL PILOT PROJECT
They decided to test the Genius Project4Domino solution in the form of a pilot run in production conditions, in order to confirm the product choice.
THE RESULTS
Approximately nine months after the deployment of Genius Project4Domino within the information technology department, it was evident that the test was a success.
Genius Project4Domino stands apart in that it can be used not only to track projects, but to track orders as well. Another advantage is that it is so easy to use, even users with limited training can use it immediately. After considerable use of this tool, the benefits are obvious.
Another positive point worth mentioning about Genius Project4Domino is the ability to customize and adapt the software without affecting compatibility with future versions. The product also kept its promises with the development that has taken place since implementation. It is also important to note that the development strategy for a 100% Web-based product has not only been announced but, in our opinion, very well realized. "We are convinced that we made the right choice and if we had to do it over, we would definitely choose Genius Project4Domino again.
