The KTW Group
The KTW Group is one of the worldwide leaders in the area of the plastic technology: it produces moulds for the manufacture of clasps and packaging of all types, especially in the personnel Care and standard clasp area for bottled water and carbonated drinks.There is also a special focal point on producing parts with several components out of different colors and/or materials. The business was established 1979 with 12 employees. Today over 390 people are active in the group. In 1993 the business became ISO 9001 certified.
The CHALLENGE
"Just because we work over three locations in Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic, teamwork, data management, overview over business processes and results are especially importantly to us. In the past, customer data and versions had to be laboriously exchanged and to be input in different systems".
"As a manufacturer, we know that the correct form for the optimal functioning is critical. Therefore the decision came down in 2003 for a global site software-solution. At last, in the company, it has to go in a direction: further forward".

Genius Project4Domino: a common hub for data and business

Genius Project4Domino is based on Lotus notes and offers us the easy-to-use medium that they need: with many Features, views, reports and various access rights. Each person that is involved has an overview over projects, business process, budgets, times, availability and end date state – in real time. Each step is exactly documented – so that they can reach the aimed improvements and optimal use. Tasks are exactly assigned, Workflows provide a consistent structured work environment, and project templates provide substanial productivity gains. Instead of wasting time to find the most accurate and current information, they have now more time to work, more efficiently, on new solutions.
Maximizer Enterprise : a common denominator for customer letters, Chat, turnover forecast, adverstising campaigns, and sales opportunity
Whether Brazil, Sweden or USA: our representations as well as customers are shared throughout the entire globe. The one who acts globally, must also think globally. And in a business like the KTW Group, "think" means "think together efficiently “ – without isolating the different sectors.
For the supply area, marketing and customer care they use the Customer Relationship management (CRM) solution, Maximizer Enterprise for notes. E-mails, letters, sale opportunities, advertising campaigns, reports, etc... are generated by Maximizer Enterprise for notes; detailed E-MAILS are also taken into the system so that all customer information can be accessed easily by anybody.
The new business portal: project management and Customer Relationship management (CRM) in one solution
Now Genius Project4Domino is integrated in our business with Maximizer Enterprise for notes. Together, both systems now form a platform, on which not only location, but also different departments and work groups are efficiently working. So, for example, the supply employee has information over the project state and the project colleague knows the history of the order. A further benefit: customer and project data are processed only one time. The new business portal has been welcomed by the users as a real working facility and is used with pleasure. Besides: now customers can directly access , via the web, certain plans or project documents. It works because both solutions are working with the Lotus Notes Clients and the Browser. To finish, KTW Group is no virtual business: the successes are concrete. And they will remain so.
